Of the 27 deals, the deal secured between Deutsche Telekom AG and SoftBank Group Corp; T-Mobile US Inc, was the largest M&A deal in the Global Financial Services sector driven by Artificial Intelligence, which was valued at $2,400.0 million and was completed on April 13, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Black Knight Inc and Optimal Blue Holdco, LLC, while the third-largest deal was between Lemonade Inc and MetroMile Inc. The Black Knight Inc-Optimal Blue Holdco, LLC deal and the Lemonade Inc-MetroMile Inc deal were valued at $1,156.0 million and $500.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between American Financial Group Inc-Verikai Inc valued at $120.0 million, whereas the deal between Otonomo Technologies Ltd-Neura Inc valued at $50.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $4,226 million and accounted for nearly 21.45% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 94.65% of the total M&A deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $19,643.2 million, which accounted for 73.33% of the total deal size on a global scale.
