On the other hand, the month of June 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 56 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $17.0 million during that month.
Of the 548 deals, the deal secured between Macquarie Asia Pacific Infrastructure Fund 3; PSP INVESTMENTS and Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia Pte Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Cloud, which was valued at $610.0 million and was completed on May 11, 2022. The second-largest deal was between China Investment China Finance Fund; Sequoia China Investment Management LLP; Tencent Holdings Ltd and Medlinker, while the third-largest deal was between Mubadala Investment Co; Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board; Warburg Pincus LLC and Princeton Digital Group. The China Investment China Finance Fund; Sequoia China Investment Management LLP; Tencent Holdings Ltd-Medlinker deal and the Mubadala Investment Co; Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board; Warburg Pincus LLC-Princeton Digital Group deal were valued at $514.0 million and $505.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Aobo Capital-Jingtai Technology valued at $400.0 million, whereas the deal between IMM Private Equity Inc; MBK Partners Ltd-MEGAZONE CLOUD Corp. valued at $332.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,361.0 million and accounted for nearly 16.96% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 6.42% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 21.67% of the total deal size on a global scale.
