On the other hand, the month of July 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 84 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $43.4 million during that month.
Of the 840 deals, the deal secured between SoftBank Group Corp and Yanolja Co Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Digital Media, which was valued at $1,700.0 million and was completed on July 15, 2021. The second-largest deal was between CVC Capital Partners Asia V L.P and Try Group Co., Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between The Saudi Public Investment Fund and Nexon Co Ltd. The CVC Capital Partners Asia V L.P-Try Group Co., Ltd deal and the The Saudi Public Investment Fund-Nexon Co Ltd deal were valued at $980.1 million and $883.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between D1 Capital Partners; DST Global; Falcon Edge India; Footpath Ventures; RedBird Capital Partners LLC; Tiger Global Management LLC; TPG Capital LP-Sporta Technologies Pvt Ltd valued at $840.0 million, whereas the deal between BlackRock Inc; Sumeru Ventures; Vitruvian Partners LLC-Think and Learn Pvt Ltd valued at $800.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,203.1 million and accounted for nearly 19.76% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 20.36% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 29.75% of the total deal size on a global scale.
