In the LTM period, December 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $1,844.8 million, resulting in an average deal value of $153.7 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 12 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $32.1 million during that month.

  • Of the 101 deals, the deal secured between Wise Road Capital, LTD. and GAPT Holding Limited, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Future of Work, which was valued at $1,460.0 million and was completed on December 1, 2021. The second-largest deal was between ADQ; The Rise Fund and Tata Motors Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between GGV Capital; Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP; Harvest Capital LLC.; Pavilion Capital Pte Ltd; Redview Capital L.P.; Sinovation Ventures; Starr Capital LLC; Taihecap; U-Member Capital; Yumeng Capital and Beijing Megarobo Technology Co Ltd. The ADQ; The Rise Fund-Tata Motors Ltd deal and the GGV Capital; Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP; Harvest Capital LLC.; Pavilion Capital Pte Ltd; Redview Capital L.P.; Sinovation Ventures; Starr Capital LLC; Taihecap; U-Member Capital; Yumeng Capital-Beijing Megarobo Technology Co Ltd deal were valued at $995.3 million and $300.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Broad Vision Funds; CMB International Capital Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd; Deppon Logistics Co Ltd; Eastern Bell Capital; Eight Roads Ventures China; Hidden Hill Capital; IDG Capital; JD Logistics; Meituan; Mirae Asset Securities Co Ltd; NIO Capital; PAG Capital; SDIC Innovation Investment Management Co Ltd-Inceptio Technology valued at $270.0 million, whereas the deal between Legend Capital Co Ltd; Sequoia Capital China-Inceptio Technology valued at $188.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.

  • Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,213.3 million and accounted for nearly 56.16% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 17.59% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 17.29% of the total deal size on a global scale.
