Of the 36 deals, the deal secured between Bolt Bidco Limited and Blue Prism Group Plc, was the largest M&A deal in the Europe driven by Artificial Intelligence, which was valued at $1,700.0 million and was completed on December 1, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Walker & Dunlop Inc and GeoPhy, while the third-largest deal was between RELIAQUEST, LLC and Digital Shadows Ltd. The Walker & Dunlop Inc-GeoPhy deal and the RELIAQUEST, LLC-Digital Shadows Ltd deal were valued at $290.0 million and $160.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between TripleLift, Inc.-1plusX AG valued at $150.0 million, whereas the deal between Celonis GmbH; Intema by MTS AI-Process Analytics Factory GmbH; VisionLabs LLC valued at $100.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,400.0 million and accounted for nearly 71.23% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 3.85% of the total M&A deals done globally, and accounted for 20.93% of the total deal size on a global scale.
