In the LTM period, January 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $14,898.1 million, resulting in an average deal value of $89.7 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of April 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 169 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $78.5 million during that month.
Of the 1,336 deals, the deal secured between Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) (Inactive) and SK Innovation Co Ltd, was the largest Debt Offering deal in the South Korea, which was valued at $500.0 million and was completed on June 9, 2021. The second-largest deal was between DBS Bank Ltd and SK Telecom Co Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between DBS Bank Ltd and CJ CheilJedang Corp. The DBS Bank Ltd-SK Telecom Co Ltd deal and the DBS Bank Ltd-CJ CheilJedang Corp deal were valued at $238.0 million and $126.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Daishin Securities Co Ltd; Samsung Securities Co Ltd-Hansol Paper Co Ltd valued at $24.9 million, whereas the deal between Asset One Asset Management Co Ltd; Company K Partners Limited; IBK Securities Co. Ltd.; Meritz Securities Co Ltd-KoBioLabs Inc valued at $9.4 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $898.3 million and accounted for nearly 0.71% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
