The number of active ESG related job postings in United Kingdom driven by ESG decreased by 9.7% MoM, and decreased by 22.74% since October 2023, reaching 44,424 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 21,126 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 8.13% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 25,900 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 3.08% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 31.98% and the number of ESG related jobs closed decreased by 15.15%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 12.05%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.24% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 5.33%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 24,670, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 27,806 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 51,477.
