The company has continued to drive strong growth in its digital commerce segment, which grew by 33% on a proforma basis, pushing through the global supply chain uncertainty and stretching comparison to record lockdown-driven growth levels in 2020.

Ascential: Digital Revenue by Segment

Despite the economic difficulties caused by the Ukraine conflict, high inflation, and rising energy and consumer prices, Ascential recorded healthy revenue in the digital commerce segment, the revenues rose by GBP103.1 million to GBP147.3 million in 2021. The company continued to implement its M&A strategy, adding seven acquisitions to its digital commerce capabilities, and expanding their relevance to the entire addressable market. In the view to strengthen the company over the long term and concentrate on accelerating the growth of its digital portfolio.

Ascential’s 2021 consolidated revenue increased by 51.9% compared to FY2020, due to the excellent structural growth demonstrated by the digital commerce and product design segments as the company continues to recover from the effects of COVID-19. The company implements various technologies to maximize revenue from the digital commerce segment. Digital commerce has continued to grow strongly, with revenues up 19% on an organic basis and up 33% on a proforma basis including the organic growth performance of the businesses.

The company is concentrating on carrying out its digital transformation, as well as its efforts to innovate and update how they operate and integrate its solutions with its partners and customers.
