The company's increasing revenue pattern was primarily due to the subscription segment, which accounted for close to 90% of the division’s total revenue in 2021. Informa delivered improvements in revenues, profits, and cash flow as a result of the continued strength of its subscription-led businesses, and growing demand for digital services across the Group. Informa’s 2021 consolidated revenue increased by 8.3% compared to FY2020, due to the excellent structural growth demonstrated by the subscription segments as the company continues to recover from the effects of COVID-19.

Despite the economic difficulties caused by the Ukraine conflict, high inflation, and rising energy and consumer prices, Informa recorded healthy revenue in the subscription segment, the revenues rose from GBP567.5 million in 2017 to GBP688.5 million in 2021. The company continued to implement its M&A strategy and expand its relevance to the entire addressable market. In the view to strengthen the company over the long term and concentrate on accelerating the growth of its digital portfolio.

Total digital revenue by segment (subscription) in FY2020 represented GBP682.6 million an increase of 3.4% from the previous year (FY2019). The company is concentrating on carrying out its digital transformation, as well as its efforts to innovate and update how they operate and integrate its solutions with its partners and customers. The company's subscription-led businesses expanded consistently over the course of the year, demonstrating their resiliency and consistency. At the same time, the company continued to develop its range of B2B Digital Services, generating new revenue streams with the potential for further growth and expansion in the future. By FY2021, Informa had provided services to clients in more than 30 countries.
