In the LTM period, February 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $1,151.4 million, resulting in an average deal value of $164.5 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 13 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $29.7 million during that month.

  • Of the 117 deals, the deal secured between The Saudi Public Investment Fund and Nexon Co Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Mobile, which was valued at $883.0 million and was completed on February 6, 2022. The fourth-largest deal was between The Saudi Public Investment Fund-Nexon Co Ltd valued at $202.5 million, whereas the deal between Goodwater Capital, LLC; Jio Platforms Ltd; Kora Management LP; Mizuho Bank Ltd; WFM INVESTMENTS INC-Glance Digital Experience Pvt Ltd; M_Service JSC valued at $200.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.

  • Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,079.5 million and accounted for nearly 40.21% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
