For instance, in 2021, Diageo launched a voice-activated technology called The Bar Cart to help Australian consumers make mixed drinks at home. The Bar Cart has been programmed with 12 cocktail recipes featuring the popular Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Tanqueray brands. Consumers can activate The Bar Cart by asking Alexa to open it. The Bar Cart initially asks consumers the spirits they have at home and then provides step-by-step instructions for mixing drinks.
