In 2021, women represented 40% of Imperial Brands’ total workforce. Female employee numbers have decreased by 2 percentage points compared to 2020. This is largely due to the division of certain aspects of Premium Cigar Division, which employed more women than men. During the same year, women’s participation was 33% in senior management, an increase of 19 percentage points over 2020. In 2021, The number of female members of Imperial Brands’ Board was 36%.

Imperial Brands has set a target to achieve 30% women representation in senior management roles by 2023. The tobacco company aims to achieve gender equality in line with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
