GHG emissions are generally classified into Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Scope 2 encompasses indirect GHG emissions associated with purchased electricity, heat, steam, or cooling. In 2021, Scope 3 emissions form the major portion of Kimberly-Clark’s total GHG emissions, accounting for around 12.59 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent (81%) of total GHG emissions.
