In the LTM period, February 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $5,923.2 million, resulting in an average deal value of $740.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of January 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 10 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $60.3 million during that month.
Of the 89 deals, the deal secured between Intel Corp and Tower Semiconductor Ltd, was the largest M&A deal in the Israel, which was valued at $5,400.0 million and was completed on February 15, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Property and Building Corp. Ltd. and Bayside Land Corp Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Keystone REIT Ltd and Egged Transportation Ltd. The Property and Building Corp. Ltd.-Bayside Land Corp Ltd deal and the Keystone REIT Ltd-Egged Transportation Ltd deal were valued at $994.7 million and $838.2 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd-Leumi Card Ltd. valued at $765.0 million, whereas the deal between Shlomi Amir; Yossi Amir-Shufersal Ltd valued at $756.4 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $8,754.3 million and accounted for nearly 49.76% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
