In the LTM period, January 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $17,268.6 million, resulting in an average deal value of $959.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 31 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $52.8 million during that month.
Of the 285 deals, the deal secured between Evergreen Coast Capital; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC and Citrix Systems Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the North America driven by Internet of Things, which was valued at $16,500.0 million and was completed on January 31, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X, L.P. and Splunk Inc, while the third-largest deal was between SoftBank Vision Fund LP and GM Cruise LLC. The Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X, L.P.-Splunk Inc deal and the SoftBank Vision Fund LP-GM Cruise LLC deal were valued at $1,380.0 million and $1,350.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Bain Capital Private Equity LP; Cross Point Capital LLC-ExtraHop Networks Inc valued at $900.0 million, whereas the deal between BDT Capital Partners LLC; Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP; MSD Partners LP-Loanpal valued at $800.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $20,930.0 million and accounted for nearly 69.16% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The North America region accounted for 75.80% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 44.60% of the total deal size on a global scale.
