In the LTM period, August 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $6,515.0 million, resulting in an average deal value of $434.3 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of December 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 19 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $27.7 million during that month.
Of the 169 deals, the deal secured between ESR Group Ltd and ARA Asset Management Ltd, was the largest M&A deal in the Singapore, which was valued at $5,200.0 million and was completed on August 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Cuscaden Peak Pte Ltd and Singapore Press Holdings Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Reenova Investment Holding Ltd; SK Ecoplant Co Ltd and 3DOM (Singapore) Pte. Ltd; TES-Envirocorp Pte. Ltd.. The Cuscaden Peak Pte Ltd-Singapore Press Holdings Ltd deal and the Reenova Investment Holding Ltd; SK Ecoplant Co Ltd-3DOM (Singapore) Pte. Ltd; TES-Envirocorp Pte. Ltd. deal were valued at $4,167.8 million and $1,000.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between EDP Renovaveis SA-Sunseap Group Pte Ltd valued at $833.0 million, whereas the deal between HSBC Insurance (Asia-Pacific) Holdings Ltd-Axa Insurance Pte Ltd valued at $529.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $12,200.8 million and accounted for nearly 52.46% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
