Mongolia was the second-least populated country in the world by density, with a population of 2.14 people per square kilometer. Followed by Namibia and Australia, with a population density of 3.14 and 3.35 people per square kilometer. French Guiana, Iceland, Suriname, Libya, Guyana, and Botswana had a population density of 3.62 people per square kilometer in 2021.
