The number of active Cloud related job postings in South Africa driven by Cloud decreased by 10.88% MoM, and decreased by 19.04% since October 2023, reaching 557 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 157 new Cloud related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 3.97% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 225 Cloud related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 3.43% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted decreased by 45.86% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed decreased by 30.12%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 18.5%, the number of active Cloud related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.8% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 11.26%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cloud related jobs posted stood at 228, the average number of Cloud related jobs closed stood at 269 and the average number of active Cloud related jobs stood at 644.
