The number of active Social related job postings in South Africa driven by Social decreased by 6.4% MoM, and decreased by 25.74% since October 2023, reaching 1,111 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 801 new Social related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 28.99% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 877 Social related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.88% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Social related jobs posted decreased by 25.76% and the number of Social related jobs closed decreased by 17.42%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Social related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.45%, the number of active Social related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.44% and the number of Social related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 6.18%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Social related jobs posted stood at 856, the average number of Social related jobs closed stood at 948 and the average number of active Social related jobs stood at 1,320.
