Yulong Mine in Tibet, was the largest copper-producing mine in China, producing approximately 116.2 thousand tonnes of copper and an estimated 0.4 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa) of Run-of-Mine (ROM) in 2021. The Yulong Mine is owned by Western Mining Group Co., Ltd., and is due to operate until 2036. The second largest copper-producing mine with an estimated copper production of 109.5 thousand tonnes and an estimated 17.19 mmtpa of ROM, was the Heilongjiang Duobaoshan Copper Mine located in Tibet. The Heilongjiang Duobaoshan Copper Mine is owned by Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd, and is due to operate until 2048.
