Mantos Blancos Mine in Santiago, was the largest silver-producing mine in Chile, producing approximately 18,066 thousand ounces of silver and an estimated 6.4 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa) of Run-of-Mine (ROM) in 2021. The Mantos Blancos Mine is owned by Orion Fund JV Limited, and is due to operate until 2035. The second largest silver-producing mine with an estimated silver production of 9,589 thousand ounces and an estimated 102.43 mmtpa of ROM, was the Collahuasi Mine located in Santiago. The Collahuasi Mine is owned by Glencore Plc, and is due to operate until 2088.
