Funds managed by BlackRock, Inc., an investment management firm, have invested $90 million in convertible preferred equity of Tricolor Auto Group, LLC, a company that utilizes data analytics and technology to improve financial inclusion to underserved hispanic markets and offer responsible, affordable, credit-building loans to individuals with no or limited credit history. The investment from the BlackRock funds will be used to expand Tricolor’s business and its affordable financing options into new markets and geographies. The deal was completed in Q3 2021.
