In terms of the geographic split, 9 out of 10 of the world’s top 10 financial advisors in the financial services industry are headquartered in North America, whereas the remaining 1 is based in Europe. Dye & Durham Limited, a Canada-based provider of cloud-based software solutions, has agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Link Administration Holdings Ltd, an Australia-based company engaged services provider to the superannuation administration industry, at a price of AUD5.5 per share in cash for CAD3.2 billion. The offer price represents a 15% premium to the closing price of Link Group’s shares on the ASX as of December 21, 2021. The Banco Bradesco-Banco Digio deal was another major deal in the financial services sector in 2021. UBS served as a financial advisor to Banco do Brasil in the transaction. Banco Bradesco S.A., a provider of financial services, has agreed to acquire a 49.9% stake in Banco Digio SA, a digital bank, from Banco do Brasil SA, a provider of financial services, for consideration of BRL625 million. All the parties involved in the transaction are based in Brazil. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Brazil and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, in addition to the fulfillment of other necessary formalities.
