Mechel (Mechel) is a vertically integrated metals and mining company that carries out the production and supply of coal, iron ore, steel and heat and electric power. The company’s mining segment comprises coal, coke and chemical products, iron ore concentrate, and other; metallurgy segment comprises of long steel products, hardware, flat steel products, forgings and stampings, ferrosilicon, steel pipes, semi-finished steel products, and other; energy segment comprises of electricity, and other. It also offers logistical and marketing services to deliver its mining products, manufactured steel goods and ferroalloys. Mechel operates freight seaports, freight rail car, locomotives pool, and a rail line. The company operates mining, metallurgical, energy, and logistics assets across multiple regions of Russia and serves both domestic and international markets. Mechel is headquartered in Moscow, Russia.
