The company acquires residential loans, prime, jumbo mortgages and related mortgage servicing rights. It acquires loans from loan sellers and distributes them through its Sequoia private-label securitization program and loan acquiring institutions. Redwood also invests in residential mortgage-backed securities retained from Sequoia securitizations or issued by third parties. Redwood is headquartered in Mill Valley, California, the US.
