Bayern Munich, Bundesliga champions who won the league 33 times, are estimated to generate the largest income of all the teams in the league. ‘The Bavarians’ are estimated to generate a total of $241.06 million from partners across the 2023 season, predominantly a result of the club’s lucrative kit supplier and front-of-shirt deals, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

GlobalData’s latest report, “The Business of the Bundesliga 2023-24,” reveals that currently, Bayern’s most lucrative annual deal is worth in total $977.81 million across 15 seasons with adidas, which is serving as the club’s kit supplier. The second biggest deal the team has in place for the 2023/24 Bundesliga season is with Deutsche Telekom, worth $51.32 million annually, to serve as its front-of-shirt sponsor. Bayern’s third most important deal for the season was with the German car manufacturer Audi, which has a ten-year deal worth $43.88 million annually to serve as a major partner and shareholder of the club.

The club has developed a global fanbase, which spreads far beyond Germany. This has allowed Bayern Munich to be an attractive proposition for brands who are looking to invest substantial amounts of sponsorship investment into an elite soccer club, which has resulted in the club agreeing lucrative deals with many brands headquartered outside of Germany including Coca-Cola and Konami.”

It is expected that the club will for the foreseeable future stay at the summit in both these areas and continue to generate some of the biggest revenues from sponsors of any team in world soccer.”
