Angry Chickz to open second location in Bakersfield, California, US
American hot chicken brand Angry Chickz is set to expand its presence with the opening of its second outlet in Bakersfield, California.
Scheduled to open in the summer of 2024, the new restaurant will be situated at 2765 Calloway Drive, near the Rosedale Village shopping centre off Rosedale Highway.
The establishment of the new Angry Chickz location, the brand's 26th system-wide, will bring 30 jobs to the local community.
Available roles will range from cashiers and cooks to a general manager.
Bakersfield Angry Chickz will open for customers from 11am to 11pm daily.
Angry Chickz CEO and founder David Mkhitaryan said: “We’re so grateful for the overwhelming support and demand for our signature hot chicken in Bakersfield, and we’re thrilled to bring a second location to the area.
“From our spicy sliders to our legendary Angry Mac bowls, we’re ready to deliver an unforgettable culinary experience to even more guests from across this wonderful city.”
In preparation for the opening ceremony, Angry Chickz is planning to collaborate with local schools and community organisations.
Founded in 2018 by Mkhitaryan, Angry Chickz is known for its chicken sandwiches and tenders.
The chain opened another California location in Vacaville in April 2024. This franchise outlet, located at 1021 Helen Power Drive, is near the Vacaville Premium Outlets, Walmart and Sam’s Club.
