APC expands digital printing capabilities with second production unit

APC’s digital printing press features rapid colour-matching capabilities with inline spectro and scanner technology.

American Packaging Corporation (APC), a leading innovator in flexible packaging solutions, has announced the opening of a second digital printing production unit at its Wisconsin Center of Excellence in the US.

This expansion strengthens APC's commitment to digital printing technology, offering a wider range of services to its customers.

APC said the new Wisconsin facility boasts best-in-class equipment for digital printing, laminating, precision coating, and pouch-making.

Additionally, APC has established a rapid response inventory of packaging materials, enabling it to fulfil orders in under 15 days.

This focus on speed caters to the needs of smaller brands, specific product lines, test markets, and promotional campaigns.

This investment complements APC's existing wide web, rotogravure, and flexographic printing capabilities.

By offering a comprehensive portfolio of printing solutions, APC ensures it can meet the unique packaging requirements of all its customers.

A key highlight of the Wisconsin unit is its state-of-the-art digital printing press, which features rapid colour-matching capabilities with inline spectro and scanner technology.

This translates to automated and precise calibration of brand-specific colours, along with consistent colour registration throughout the printing process.

"APC is passionate about our business, driving us to continually enhance our support of our customers,” stated Fred Morse, Digital Technology & Sales director at APC.

“Drawing inspiration from this commitment, we meticulously evaluated digital printing and converting equipment options from around the world to select the ultimate combination of system capability, speed and colour matching available, delivering exceptional quality and value to brand managers."

This expansion strengthens APC's position as a leader in the flexible packaging industry, showcasing its dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and providing its customers with unmatched service and capabilities.
