Digital tipping platform eTip integrates with Oracle Cloud

The integration will offer benefits such as allowing guests to tip in eight seconds using a branded QR-code-based process.

Digital tipping and financial benefits platform eTip has announced its availability on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

The platform is also a member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.

Besides, it can now be deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and integrated with OPERA Cloud through the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP).

The integration is anticipated to allow hotels and hospitality companies to use Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud to improve employee satisfaction with eTip's cashless tip disbursement platform.

It is also expected to help these hotels streamline operations.

eTip co-founder and CEO Nicolas Cassis said: “The growing demand for technologies like both eTip and OPERA Cloud speaks to the need for hospitality companies to automate and simplify the manual, time-consuming aspects of hotel management.

“eTip’s participation in Oracle Cloud Marketplace further extends our commitment to the Oracle community and enables customers to easily reap the benefits of the eTip platform. We look forward to leveraging the power of OCI to help us achieve our business goals.”

This integration will offer benefits such as allowing guests to tip in eight seconds using a branded QR-code-based process without needing to download any apps.

Additionally, the Charge to Room feature allows guests to consolidate all charges, including tips, onto a single bill.

eTip Direct provides near-instant automated tip disbursement, which can be paid directly to staff or through payroll.

The reporting capabilities of eTip include automated compliance and tax reporting, tips per occupied room, and performance reporting by team, property, brand, and group.

This reporting is expected to translate into positive guest feedback.

By simplifying the tipping process, eTip aims to increase staff earnings and hourly wages, which can result in higher employee morale and an improved guest experience.

For hotel and hospitality companies, eTip's platform is designed for large-scale, complex operations, saving management teams time in financial reconciliation and reducing employee turnover costs.

Oracle Cloud Marketplace serves as a central hub for Oracle customers seeking trusted business applications and services, offering solutions that extend Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

OCI provides a platform of cloud infrastructure services that support a wide range of applications in a scalable, secure environment.

It offers various cloud options, including multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, public cloud, and dedicated cloud.

This allows customers to benefit from cloud flexibility while maintaining control over data residency and meeting regulatory compliance requirements.

Last month, eTips was named the digital tipping partner for IHG Hotels & Resorts.
