Hyatt opens first hotel in Zimbabwe
The Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a significant milestone for Zimbabwe's hospitality industry with the opening of the country's first Hyatt-branded hotel – the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles.
The opening of the five-star hotel, following extensive renovations, marks the brand's entry into Zimbabwe.
In the heart of Harare's city centre, the newly rebranded property has a history dating back to 1915.
Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles offers guests a unique blend of modern amenities and the timeless elegance of the original property.
The 312-room hotel features contemporary guestrooms with views of Africa Unity Square.
Its prime location makes it the perfect base for exploring Zimbabwe's natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Guests can easily access markets and historical sites such as the National Gallery and Harare Gardens.
The Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles caters to diverse guest needs with state-of-the-art facilities, world-class dining options, personalised service, a spa experience, a fitness centre and a pool deck with scenic city views.
For business travellers, the hotel provides 21,500ft² of versatile meeting space with cutting-edge technology.
Guests can choose from a variety of culinary experiences at Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles. The Kitchen, a new all-day dining restaurant, offers meals with a beautiful view. There are options for fine dining, live cooking experiences, afternoon teas and cocktails at the bar.
