IHG to expand Vignette Collection with 12 hotels in 2024

Ranging from city centre townhouses to beachfront resorts, the new additions promise diverse travel options across the globe.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is significantly growing its luxury and lifestyle brand, Vignette Collection, with 12 new properties planned to open throughout 2024.

This expansion follows the recent launch of The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection, marking the brand's debut in the UK.

Vignette Collection offers a curated selection of distinct hotels, each aiming to deliver a one-of-a-kind guest experience.

Ranging from intimate city centre townhouses to beachfront resorts, the new additions promise diverse travel options across the globe.

Highlights of the 2024 openings

Unique locations and experiences: Guests can enjoy unparalleled experiences like skiing indoors at the Shanghai Snow World Hotel, located within the world's largest indoor ski park.

In Budapest, Verno House offers an urban escape overlooking Liberty Square, while the Arabella Beach Hotel in Kuwait boasts desert and beachfront views.

Commitment to individuality and sustainability: IHG said each Vignette Collection property fosters a sense of individuality and intrigue.

Additionally, all hotels uphold IHG's "Journey to Tomorrow" plan, which promotes environmental and social responsibility. This commitment is reflected in each property's unique "A Means For Good" programmes, partnering with local organisations to create positive societal impact.

Memorable guest rituals: Vignette Collection goes beyond just accommodation, offering guests immersive experiences that connect them to the local culture.

For example, Convent Square Lisbon allows guests to partake in a traditional Portuguese tea ceremony, while Yours Truly DC in Washington lets guests curate their stay's soundtrack with records from the hotel's library.

Growth and brand strength

"Vignette Collection stands apart in IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury & lifestyle portfolio," said Tom Rowntree, vice president of luxury & lifestyle brands at IHG.

"It presents a compelling way for IHG to welcome one-of-a-kind hotels into our family, combining each property’s individual identity with the brand’s promise of ‘A Means For Good’, powered by IHG’s global scale and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme. Each hotel has a distinct outlook and story to tell but they come together as Vignette Collection.”

The expansion includes several upcoming openings alongside the recently launched properties:

  • Now open: The Halyard Liverpool (UK) and Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket (Thailand)
  • Spring 2024: Arabella Beach Hotel (Kuwait), Velero Doha (Qatar)
  • Summer 2024: Verno House (Hungary)
  • Autumn 2024: Shanghai Snow World Hotel (China)
  • October 2024: Rumah Luwih Bali (Indonesia)
  • December 2024: Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang (Thailand)

Additionally, four new hotels are slated to join Vignette Collection's portfolio in China throughout 2024.
