Shipt and Lowe's offer same-day delivery of DIY products

Delivery marketplace Shipt has partnered with US retailer Lowe's to offer a same-day delivery service for home improvement and DIY products.

The collaboration enables Shipt members to benefit from the delivery of a wide range of products from 1,200 Lowe's stores across the US.

Lowe's extensive inventory includes cleaning supplies, plants, outdoor decor, home improvement tools and pre-mixed paint. The range will now be available on the Shipt app and at Shipt.com.

Lowe’s becomes Shipt's first home improvement partner.

Lowe's digital commerce and technology, senior vice-president Neelima Sharma, said: "As Lowe's continues its omnichannel journey, expanding same-day delivery options helps us meet our customers where they are.

“Shipt customers now have the opportunity to get everything they need for their spring projects in a fast and convenient way from Lowe's."

The addition of Lowe's to its marketplace is in line with Shipt's commitment to make shopping easier through seamless delivery.

The partnership expands the company’s marketplace offering from groceries to household essentials.

Shipt's chief growth officer Katie Stratton said: "We're extremely proud to announce this partnership as we continue to expand Shipt's marketplace offerings for our customers.

“This launch is just in time for those spring and summer patio parties, the gardening season and more. The addition of a new retail segment to our marketplace is proof of Shipt's continued investment in meeting member needs."

Lowe’s recently partnered with Google to pilot a new retail media solution to enhance privacy-centric advertising.
