SIG and MassChallenge Switzerland partner to spark innovation in packaging
In a move designed to accelerate development in sustainable packaging solutions, SIG, a leading provider of packaging solutions for food and beverages, has announced a strategic partnership with MassChallenge Switzerland.
MassChallenge is a global network of startup accelerators known for its support of innovative entrepreneurs.
The collaboration aims to connect SIG with promising startups that are pioneering new technologies and sustainable materials in the packaging industry.
By leveraging MassChallenge’s network of founders, SIG hopes to identify emerging trends early on and shape the future of packaging.
“Our collaboration with MassChallenge Switzerland will bring us closer to those visionary entrepreneurs who are bursting with new ideas and are ready to innovate with the right help and guidance,” said Gavin Steiner, CTO at SIG.
“By working together, we can learn from each other and develop new perspectives and promising technologies, making them usable in new products and getting them ready for market. It is also about integrating innovations into the SIG system and continuously developing for the future.”
This partnership presents a win-win situation for both parties.
Specifically, SIG gains access to a pool of fresh ideas and agile startups, potentially leading to faster development cycles for new products and technologies.
SIG’s customers can also expect to benefit from this collaboration through access to customised solutions and quicker time-to-market for innovative packaging options.
“Our unique and equity-free model allows acceleration of high-impact startups with bold, disruptive ideas from non-traditional backgrounds,” said Matt Lashmar, managing director of MassChallenge Switzerland.
“Collaborating with SIG will provide a game-changing opportunity for entrepreneurs to benefit from SIG’s global expertise in the food and packaging industry, while SIG will also receive outside views and ideas from innovators in the field of sustainability, digitalisation and technology.”
This collaboration between SIG and MassChallenge Switzerland creates a platform for knowledge sharing and mutual learning, ultimately propelling the development of sustainable and innovative packaging solutions for the future.
