Spalding retains key Euroleague ball supplier contract until 2027
The brand will continue to supply balls for the EuroLeague, EuroCup, and Next Generation competitions.
Spalding has renewed its long-standing deal as the official game ball provider of Euroleague Basketball, the organizer of top European club competitions, for the next three seasons.
The extended agreement, which runs through 2027, will see the basketball equipment brand continue to supply balls for the top-tier EuroLeague, second-tier EuroCup, and the youth Next Generation tournament.
Spalding will also maintain its role as an official Euroleague partner. The brand has had a partnership with the organization since the start of the 2012-13 season.
The renewal with the Euroleague represents a key contract for Spalding as its rival Wilson is currently the dominant player in the basketball market.
Wilson recently added the FIBA Intercontinental Cup to its large portfolio and extended with the Basketball Champions League, the pan-European club competition.
The US equipment manufacturer, owned by Finnish company Amer Sports, is also the supplier of official game basketballs for the NBA, the women’s WNBA, NCAA, Basketball Africa League, and FIBA 3x3.
The 2023-24 EuroLeague season has entered the climactic Final Four stage, with reigning champions Real Madrid facing Greece's Olympiacos and Panathinaikos taking on Turkish outfit Fenerbahce on May 24.
The championship game will be played two days later with all matches being held in Berlin.
