Sturdy Health deploys Notable's AI healthcare platform
By leveraging Notable's AI platform, Sturdy Health will enable patients to independently manage tasks.
Sturdy Health, a US-based not-for-profit healthcare system, has partnered with Notable to enhance the patient experience through an AI-driven digital front door.
This collaboration aims to streamline the patient care process by integrating technology into various stages of patient interaction.
By leveraging Notable's AI platform, Sturdy Health will enable patients to independently manage tasks such as appointment scheduling, demographic and insurance verification, and pre-registration form completion.
The Notable platform is designed to automate several aspects of the patient experience. It includes automatic patient outreach for upcoming appointments, ensuring a smooth check-in process by verifying and collecting necessary information.
Additionally, the platform offers a personalised experience through bi-directional integration with Oracle Health, utilising conversational AI.
Patients will benefit from the convenience of self-service channels to schedule appointments at their convenience, without the need for phone calls.
The conversational AI also facilitates proactive outreach to patients due for care, assisting them in scheduling appointments and addressing gaps in care.
Sturdy Health Medical Group chief medical officer Paul Fu said: “We are on a journey to transform the way our community experiences healthcare.
“In addition to the construction of our state-of-the-art Cancer and Specialty Care Medical Office Building, Sturdy Health is investing in innovative technologies, like Notable, to advance a seamless patient experience that meets the health care needs and experience expectations of those we are privileged to serve.”
Sturdy Health has initiated the implementation of Notable's Registration Intake and Payments solutions at two sites, with plans for a broader rollout as part of a multi-site strategy.
Notable co-founder and CEO Pranay Kapadia said: “Patients expect a high level of personalisation and want simplicity in how they access healthcare.
“With the unique ability of our platform to identify and orchestrate the next best action for every patient, we are helping meet those expectations while eliminating manual work for staff. Partnering with Sturdy Health on its digital front door and to automate the closure of gaps in care for its community is important work.”
Sturdy Health operates a 126-bed acute care hospital and multiple care facilities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Last month, Community Health Network and Notable entered an enterprise-wide tie-up, to reduce administrative load using AI.
