In terms of the geographical split, 5 out of the world’s top 10 private equity investors in the power industry are headquartered in North America, and the remaining 5 are based in Europe. IONITY GmbH, a company for building and operating a high-power charging network, has raised EUR700 million in private financing from BlackRock Global Renewable Power platform, a renewable energy company. The deal was completed in Q4 2021.
