Mr. Duane Maxwell serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of the bank. Prior to this, he held senior compliance roles in banking and insurance including Lloyds Bank, AIG, Barclays and HSBC. He also held roles in Group Compliance and Corporate Governance Departments. As the ADIB Acting Group Head of Compliance, Duane’s primary responsibility is oversight of the bank’s adherence to applicable regulatory rules, standards and the bank’s internal compliance policies, and to provide assurance to the Bank Audit Committee.

Mr. Maher Mustafa Al Ruz is the Group Chief Customer Officer of the bank. Previously, he served as the Head of Customer Excellence Group at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. Prior to this, he held various senior positions within the organization, contributing to customer experience and service improvements.

Mr. Ahsan Akhtar has been the Group Chief Financial Officer of the bank since 2024. Previously, he served as the Group Financial Controller. He held various senior positions with international banks and firms including a role at Citi Bank and a position at PWC. He joined ADIB in 2008.

Mr. Mohammed Abdelbary has been the Group Chief Financial Officer of the bank since 2020. Previously, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. Prior to this, he held key positions at Citibank, Barclays Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank.

Ms. Bushra Alshehhi has been the Group Chief Human Resources Officer of the bank since 2023. She also serves as the Chairman of Kawader?. Prior to this, she served as a Head of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank from April 2021 to February 2023 and Head of Emritization and Recruitment at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank from April 2018 to April 2021. Previously she served various leadership roles at Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.
