Adama Ltd (Adama), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Agrochemical Co Ltd, develops, manufactures, and commercializes crop protection products. It is the seventh largest company in the global crop protection industry and provides a comprehensive range of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides that help farmers worldwide to increase yields by preventing or controlling weeds, insects, and diseases that harm crops. Adama is part of the Syngentia Group, which is a leading agricultural inputs company in the world.

Involved in development and marketing of off-patent crop protection solutions which target weeds, insects and diseases through its Herbicide, Insecticide and Pesticide product offerings. The product offerings are either selective (which do not harm the crops) or non-selective. Herbicides focus on stunting weed growth to optimize crop growth through different cycles and help in optimal yield from plantations. The company offers both, selective and non-selective herbicides. Insecticides help in pest mitigation and are selective in nature. Fungicides are used to protect crops against diseases caused mainly by parasitic fungi. Key brands include Agil, Atranex, Clodinagan, Dekel, Diurex ,Acemain, Agadi, Agas, Amnon, Barazide ,Benmain, Blasil, Blastogan, Bumper and Custodia among others. The segment depends upon a robust value chain process which flows from the company to the end user through distribution and retail channels. It offers its products to distributors who market them to the end users which comprise of farmers and also large cooperatives. The segment also sells its crop protection products to multinational companies and its raw materials to other producers.

The segment consists of dietary supplements, food colour, texture and flavour enhancers, food fortification products, ingredients for cosmetics and detergents, industrial chemicals and other non-agro related products.
