It also invests in and operates natural gas exploration, development, and production tenements and operates natural gas storage facilities. The company supplies all of its generated electricity to the National Electricity Market or Western Australian Wholesale Electricity Market (Pool).

Comprises consumer, business, and new energy service customers. Offers retailing of electricity, gas, broadband, mobile, voice, solar and energy efficiency products and services to residential, small and large business customers. Sources energy from the wholesale markets at transfer prices. In FY2025, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of AUD125 million, which declined 9.4% YoY.

Overview
Sells electricity, natural gas and related products and services. Comprises three business units: Wholesale Electricity, Wholesale Gas, Eco Markets. Eco Markets - reflects the management of the company's liabilities relating to both voluntary and mandatory renewable and energy efficiency programs. Wholesale electricity - manages procurement of key fuel inputs and hedging of wholesale electricity that manages commercial and generation portfolios. Wholesale gas - procures and manages gas supply and transports to customers at wholesale prices. Other components of Integrated Energy comprise of AGL Energy’s power generation portfolio. Includes four power generation business units: Thermal, Renewables, Natural Gas and Other operations. Thermal - operates various thermal plants such as AGL Macquarie, which comprises Bayswater Power Station Station; and AGL Loy Yang Renewables - operates various wind generation units across Australia such as wind power generation in South Australia and Victoria, hydro-electric power stations in Victoria and New South Wales and solar power plants in New South Wales. Natural Gas - includes Camden Gas Project, and the Newcastle Gas Storage Facility. Other operations - Includes Power Development & Energy Hubs and Construction businesses focused on the development and construction of greenfield growth opportunities related to renewable and firming capacity, along with the development of Integrated Energy Hubs at Torrens Island. In FY2025, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of AUD963 million, which grew 42.7% YoY.
