Mr. Rene Obermann has been the Chairman of the company since 2020. Currently, he serves as the Co-Head of Europe and Managing Director at Warburg Pincus Deutschland Gmbh and Deputy Chairman at IONOS Group SE. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Allianz Deutschland AG, Spotify, Telenor and ISAT Connect Bidco Limited. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at Ziggo NV. He also served as the Vice President of the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media. Mr. Obermann worked at Deutsche Telekom Group and as the Chief Executive Officer at Deutsche Telekom AG. He also served as Chief Executive Officer at Hutchison Mobilfunk GmbH.

Mr. Guillaume Faury has been the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company since 2019. Currently, he also serves as a Director at AXA SA, Chairman of GIFAS, President and Chairman of the European Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries. Prior to this, he served as the President of commercial aircraft business of the company. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters division of the company from 2013 to 2018. Previously, he held various positions in the areas such as programs, engineering, and flight testing at Airbus’ helicopter business, including the Executive Director of Research and Development, Executive Vice President of Programmes and a member of Eurocopter Executive Committee from 1998 to 2008. Mr. Faury began his career at Direction Generale de l’Armement (DGA) as a Flight-Test Engineer in 1992.

Mr. Thomas Toepfer has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since September 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Labor of Covestro AG. Previously, he served as a consultant with McKinsey & Company Inc and in leading management positions for KION Group AG and Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH.

Ms. Carmen-Maja Rex has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of the company since April 2025. Prior to this, she served as the Director of HR Group at Heidelberg Materials. Previously, she held various Senior Positions in people development and human capital management at Siemens including Leadership Development Manager, Global HR Business Partner and Global Head of HR Strategy and Transformation. Ms. Rex also held various HR roles at United Nations Children’s Fund including Director Recruitment for South East Asia and Head of Surge Capacity, as well as HR assignments in Afghanistan and Timor-Leste.

Ms. Julie Kitcher has been the Chief Sustainability Officer and Communications of the company since 2024. Previously, she served as the Executive Vice President of Communications and Corporate Affairs of the company. She also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Chief of Staff, and Head of Investor Relations and Financial Communication at the company. Prior to this, she served as the Chairwoman of the Airbus Foundation board.
