Mr. Maarten Otto has been the Chief Executive Officer of Alliander since May 2020. Prior to this, he held various positions at the organizational consultancy firms TEN HAVE Change Management and Twynstra Gudde. He has made a major contribution to the development of Alliander, strengthening the social position in the political-administrative debate, corporate strategy and working on complex social environments. Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Employers’ Association for the Energy, Cable & Telecom and Waste & Environment Sectors, and a Member of the Executive Management Board of VNO-NCW. He also works as a Director of Corporate & Social Affairs of the company since 2018.

Mr. F. Daan Schut has been the Chief Transition Officer of the company since April 2019. Prior to this, he served as a Director of Asset Management from 2014 to 2019. He also served as an Advisor at KPMG. Mr. Schut serves as a Member of Stichting Ksandr and Next Generation Infrastructures.

Mr. Walter Bien has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since October 2019. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Boskalis Dredging & Inland Infra. Mr. Bien also served in various board and management positions at Boskalis. Before Boskalis, he also worked at Ballast Nedam.

Ms. Marlies Visser has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since May 2020. Prior to this, she served as the Director of Operations at Liander from 2014 to 2020. Previously, Ms. Visser worked for almost ten years at the Dutch Railways as operations manager.

Ms. Annemarie Jorritsma-Lebbink is the Chairman of the company. Prior to this, she served as Dutch Senate member for VVD (People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) and has served as VVD Senate leader. Previously, she was Mayor of Almere from 2003 to 2015, and also chaired the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG) for seven years.
