Mr. George A. Cope has been the Chairman of the bank since March 2020. Previously, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for BCE Inc and Bell Canada from 2008 to 2020.

Mr. Darryl White has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the bank since 2017. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of the bank from 2016 to 2017. Prior to this, he held the position of Group Head in BMO Capital Markets since 2014. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of BMO Nesbitt Burns legal entity from 2014 to 2016. He joined BMO in 1994 and has held a variety of senior management positions including Executive Managing Director and Head of Investment & Corporate Banking (I&CB) Montreal; Global Head of Equity Capital Markets; and Global Head of I&CB, where he oversaw the bank’s relationships with corporations and government, as well as trade finance and international financial institutions. He also serves as a member of Catalyst’s Canadian Advisory Board, a longstanding volunteer with the United Way of Greater Toronto and York Region, and serves on the organization’s Campaign Cabinet as Chair, Finance Sector. He co-chaired BMO Financial Group's Employee Giving Campaign in 2015 and 2016. He also serves as a Director of St. Michael's Hospital and Montreal Canadiens, and served as a Member of the Advisory Council of Women in Capital Markets.

Mr. Rahul Nalgirkar has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2026. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at BMO U.S. Previously, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Line of Business at Fifth Third Bank.

Ms. Mona Malone is the Head of People, Culture and Brand, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer of the bank. Prior to this, she was Deputy Head of HR and Chief Talent Officer at BOM. She held various positions in human resources for 20 years in the bank. Previously, she served as Vice President of Product and Marketing Officer at ePost.

Mr. Piyush Agrawal has been the Chief Risk Officer of the bank since November 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer and member of the bank’s executive committee since July 2022. Previously, he served as the Chief Risk Officer at Citibank N.A. and the Global Head of climate risk. He also worked as Head of Strategy, Country Risk Officer for India, and as Chief Operating Officer of Citibank, N.A.
