Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of BASF Polska, from 2012 to 2015. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Legal and Tax Asia Pacific, since 2010 to 2012. He joined the company in 2003 as Legal Counsel.

Mr. Stephan Kothrade has been the Chief Technology Officer and Director of the company since 2024. Previously, he served as the Member of the company from 2023 to 2024. Prior to that, he also held the position of President of Intermediaries from 2022 to 2023. Mr. Kothrade also served as the President and Chairman of the Greater China, BASF since 2020 to 2022. Earlier, he worked as the President of Asia Pacific, President and Chairman of Greater China, BASF from 2016 to 2020. Mr. Kothratde held various positions such as President, Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Plant Manager and Head of Strategic Planning at the company.
