Biogen Inc: Executives

Dr. Stelios Papadopoulos has been the Chairman of the company since June 2014. He also serves as the Chairman of Exelixis, Inc, and Regulus Therapeutics Inc, and a member of the Board of Directors of BG Medicine Inc. Prior to that, Dr. Papadopoulos was a member of its Board of Directors of Anadys Pharmaceuticals Inc and the Chairman of Fondation Sante. He also served as the Vice Chairman of Cowen & Co LLC and Chairman of PaineWebber Development Corp.

Mr. Michel Vounatsos has been the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company since January 2017. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since 2016. Mr. Vounatsos also served as the President of Primary Care Business Line at Merck. He held several other leadership positions with Merck in Europe and China.

Mr. Michael McDonnell serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2020. Prior to this, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at IQVIA since December 2015. He has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Intelsat, MCG Capital Corporation and EchoStar Communications (DishNetwork). He also served as a member of the board of directors of Catalyst Health Solutions Inc from 2005 until 2012.

Ms. Robin C. Kramer has been the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the company since 2020. Previously, she served as the Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the company. Prior to this, she was the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. Ms. Kramer also served as an Audit Partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP; Chief Accounting Officer of Fisher Scientific International, Inc; Director, External Reporting, Accounting and Control for the Gillette Company.

Ms. Susan H. Alexander has been the Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Biogen since 2011. Prior to this, she served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the company since from 2006 to 2011. Prior to Biogen, Ms. Alexander served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Parexel International Corporation from 2003 to 2006, General Counsel of Iona Technologies, Counsel at Cabot Corporation and as a Partner at the law firms of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder and Fine & Ambrogne.
