Mr. John Nigel Newton serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company. He founded Bloomsbury in 1986. Currently, he serves as a member of the Advisory Committee at Cambridge University Library and President of Book Aid International, and President of the Publishers Association. Previously, he served as a member of Booker Prize Advisory Committee and Chairman at Charleston Trust. Prior to this, he worked at Sidgwick & Jackson and Macmillan Publishers. He also served as Chair of World Book Day, Board member of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, member of the Publishers Association Council, Trustee of the International Institute for Strategic Studies and Chairman of the British Library Trust.

Mr. Keith Underwood has been the Chief Financial Officer and Director of the company since February 2026. Previously, he was the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Guardian Media Group. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Channel 4. Prior to that, he worked at Discovery Networks International, Sky, and PwC.

Mr. John Bason has been the Chairman of the company since 2022. He has over 40 years of experience in finance and international business. Currently, he serves as the Finance Director at Associated British Foods plc and Chairman at FareShare. He is also served as the Director at Compass Group PLC. Prior to this, he served as trustee of Voluntary Service Overseas at Compass Group PLC.
