Chairman Executive BoardMs. Jill Gardiner has been the Chair of the Board since 2021. She has also been the director of Capital Power since 2015. Ms. Gardiner has extensive corporate experience and has been the Managing Director and Regional Head at RBC Capital Markets. She has also served as Head of Forest Products Group and Pipelines & Utilities Group of RBC Capital Markets. She has over 20 years of experience in investment banking industry.
Brian Vaasjo
Chief Executive Officer; Director; President Executive BoardMr. Brian Vaasjo has been the Chief Executive Officer, Director, and President of CPC since July 2009. Prior to joining the company, he served as the Executive Vice President of EPCOR and President of EPCOR’s Energy Division; President of Capital Power Income L.P. from September 2005 to July 2009 and Chairman of the Board of its general partner from July 2009 to November 2011.
Sandra Haskins
Senior Vice President - Finance; Chief Financial Officer Senior ManagementMs. Sandra Haskins has been the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2020. Prior to this, she served as the Vice President of Finance and Treasury for a period of two years. She has also been VP Forecasting and Analytics for Capital Power’s Budget and Forecasts, Valuations and Market Assessment, Corporate Financial Projections, and Forecasting functions. Ms. Haskins joined the company in 2009 as the Controller.
Kate Chisholm
Senior Vice President - Legal and External Relations; Chief Sustainability Officer Senior ManagementMs. Kate Chisholm has been the Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Vice President of the company since 2020. Prior to this, she served as a Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at EPCOR; Vice President and, Legal and Commercial of Alberta’s Transmission Administrator; Chairman of University of Alberta Board of Governors.
Bryan DeNeve
Senior Vice President - Corporate Development and Commercial Services Senior ManagementMr. Bryan DeNeve has been the Senior Vice President- Operations since 2020. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance and as the Chief Financial Officer. He also served as the SVP of Business Development and Commercial Services, SVP of Corporate Development and Commercial Services, Vice President (VP) of Business Development. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Bryan served as the VP of Regulatory Affairs for EPCOR; and worked in the development and implementation of the deregulated electricity market in Alberta.
