Mr. D. James Umpleby III has been the Chairman since 2018 and Chief Executive Officer since 2017 at the company. Prior to this, he served as the President of the company from 2013 to 2016; and Vice President and President of Solar Turbines from 2010 to 2012. Currently, Mr. Umpleby III also serves as the Director of Chevron Corporation.

Mr. Andrew R.J. Bonfield has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2018. Prior to this, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer for National Grid plc from 2010 to 2018; Chief Financial Officer at Cadbury plc; and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb. Currently, Mr. Bonfield also serves as Non-Executive Director for Reckitt Benckiser Group plc.

Mr. Joseph E. Creed has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since November 2023. Prior to this, he served as the President of Energy and transportation and Vice President of Caterpillar's Finance Services Division and various other leadership roles at Caterpillar since 1997.

Mr. William E. Schaupp has been the Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of the company since 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Finance Director of Global Finance Services Division from 2021 to 2022; Vice President and Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of PPG Industries, Inc. from 2018 to 2021; Assistant Controller and Acting Controller for PPG Industries, Inc; and Director Corporate Audit Services for PPG Industries, Inc. from 2017 to 2018.

Mr. Karl E. Weiss has been the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for Integrated Components and Solutions Division of Caterpillar since 2019. Prior to this, he served as the company’s Vice President of the Earthmoving Division, Vice President of Material Handling & Underground, and Vice president of the Innovation & Technology Development Division and Chief Technology.
