Mr. Bruce Van Saun has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2013. Prior to this, he served as the Group Finance Director and as an Executive Director of the RBS Board from 2009 to 2013. Previously, Mr. Van Saun held a number of senior positions with Bank of New York and later Bank of New York Mellon, including the Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer from 1997 to 2008. Earlier, he held various senior positions with Deutsche Bank, Kidder Peabody & Co., and Wasserstein Perella Group. Mr. Van Saun serves as a Director at Moody’s Corporation and a Member of The Clearing House supervisory board.

Mr. Aunoy Banerjee has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since October 2025. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Barclays Bank PLC. Prior to this, Mr. Banerjee served for eight years at State Street.

Mr. Christopher Schnirel has been the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of the company since October 21, 2024. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President and Assistant Controller at Huntington Bancshares Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Schnirel held senior accounting positions at HSBC North America.

Mr. Michael Ruttledge is the Chief Information Officer and Head of Technology Services of the company. Prior to this, he served as the Group Chief Information Officer of American Express. Mr. Ruttledge held various roles related to engineering and infrastructure roles within the financial services industry including merchant services, payments, risk, customer service, fraud, and banking and finance.

Mr. Richard Stein has been the Chief Risk Officer of the company since January 2024. Prior to this, he served as Senior Risk Advisor and Executive Vice President of the company. Previously, he served as the Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President of Bank of America and Comerica.
