Cogent Communications Holdings Inc (Cogent) is a facilities-based provider specializing in low-cost, high-speed internet access, private network services, optical wavelength and transport services, and data center colocation space and power. It also provides data transport, internet access, fiber optic, and IP data-only network services. The company's product and service portfolio include off-net and on-net services; dedicated internet access; ethernet services; IP transit; point-to-point and point to multi-point connectivity, virtual private LAN services; and colocation services. It offers internet access to content providers, service providers, small business, mobile operators and cable operators. Cogent operates through a network of owned and leased optical fiber, connecting to customers in carrier-neutral data centers and its own data centers.
