Mr. Ryan M. Lance has been the Chairman of the company since May 2012. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President of Exploration & Production for International at the company. Mr. Lance also served as the President of Exploration and Production for Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East from September 2007 to April 2009; Senior Vice President of Technology from February 2007 to September 2007; Senior Vice President, Technology and Major Projects in 2006; and President of Downstream Strategy, Integration and Specialty Businesses from 2005 to 2006.

Mr. Andrew M. O’Brien has been the President, Director, and Chief Executive Officer of the company since September 2026. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategy and Commercial of the company. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President of Strategy, Commercial, Sustainability, and Technology. He was the Senior Vice President of global operations from 2022 to 2024. Mr. O'Brien was also the Vice President and Treasurer of the company from 2021 to 2022. Previously, he was also the Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development at the company from 2020 to 2021. He was also the Lower 48 Finance Manager of the company from 2018 to 2020. Mr. O'Brien was also the Manager of Investor Relations at the company from 2016 to 2018.
